**About the role**

We have an exciting leadership opportunity available within our Corporate Affairs Business Unit for a Manager - Government & Stakeholders. In this permanent full-time opportunity, you’ll lead a high-performing team in providing strategic government relations, stakeholder engagement and external policy advice, development, and support.

Working closely with the Head of Corporate Affairs, you will be responsible for: providing government relations and stakeholder engagement advice and support to the Corporation’s Executive team and senior management; proactively managing the relationship with the Office of the Minister for Water; engaging with key stakeholders across government and industry sectors and playing a key role in protecting Water Corporation’s corporate reputation.

**About you**:
There are a few things that we’ll look for in your CV.

You’ll be degree qualified in Communications, Media, or related discipline with substantial experience in delivering strategic government relations advice and support at a corporate level in a large and complex organisation. You’ll be a born leader with strong experience leading a multi-disciplinary team to deliver corporate wide objectives and outcomes. You will also possess substantial experience in managing stakeholder engagement, external policy and have worked with state and/or federal government.

**What the role will involve**:

- Provide expert advice to the Corporation’s CEO, Executive, senior management and other relevant staff on matters relating to Ministerial engagement, Cabinet and Parliamentary procedures and processes.
- Oversight of all Ministerial communications, parliamentary questions and correspondence between the Corporation, the Minister for Water, other Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament and Government bodies at all times ensuring that communications are efficient, effective, accurate and timely.
- Manage engagement with Members of Parliament on behalf of the Corporation and in liaison with the Office of the Minister for Water.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels of respective organisations, to facilitate information-sharing and collaboration of messaging for key projects and programs.
- Oversight and governance of external policy matters impacting the Corporation.
- Lead a high-performing team to provide strategic government relations, stakeholders and external policy advice, development, and support.
