**The Role**
This is an exciting opportunity for a Dispute Resolution Manager (DRM) to join our high-performing Dispute Resolution team providing interpersonal conflict resolution expertise in the Department of Defence.
As a DRM in Defence, you will be amongst good company within a team of highly skilled and professional Dispute Resolution Managers.
Working independently to manage your regional remit as part of a national, geographically dispersed team.
Empowered to lead dispute resolution services across your region, you will ensure the provision of timely, specialist advice and guidance on workplace behavior, conflict resolution and unacceptable behaviour management.
To achieve this, you will lead and manage a panel of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practitioners (nationally accredited mediators and conflict management coaches) as well as train and maintain the local Workplace Behaviour Adviser (WBA) network.
This network consists of trained volunteers who provide advice and guidance on unacceptable behavior matters to both Australian Public Service (APS) and Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel.

- Understand how your role as a DRM supports Defence’s workforce.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships as a trusted and credible practitioner by promptly and appropriately responding to the needs of customers and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with both military members and APS employees to get to the heart of the issue and design appropriate intervention strategies.
- Coach, mentor and develop your ADR practitioner panel and WBA network coordinators.
- Train, coordinate and manage the Workplace Behaviour Advisor network.
- Draw upon a broad range of experience and training in interpersonal and workplace conflict situations, or be able to acquire these skills and
