Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to support a short-term leave period in our finance environment.

Key Details:
  • Start: ASAP to allow handover and training
  • Duration: Approximately 4 weeks (until early October)
  • Location: Newcastle-Maitland area
  • Hours: Flexible 24–38 hours per week (preferably full-time hours due to volume)
Responsibilities:
  • Accurate and timely data entry of supplier invoices
  • Managing high-volume accounts with varying supplier demands
  • Ensuring AP is kept under control during a busy period of growth
  • Supporting end-of-month processing and ensuring deadlines are met

This well-defined, short-term opportunity will see you play a key role in ensuring AP continuity while the incumbent is on leave. You'll receive a thorough handover and be supported by a team committed to setting you up for success.

Requirements:
Demonstrated accounts payable experience in a medium-to-large organisation
Strong attention to detail, speed and accuracy in data entry
Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and remain calm at peak times
Flexible approach to working hours and availability for the handover period
