**About the Role**

We are on the lookout for an expert in media and communications to join our Communications Team. You will be responsible for managing the City of Ryde’s reputation and relationships and producing engaging content across a range of channels.

**About You**

**Key requirements**:

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field and/or significant demonstrated experience in lieu of formal qualifications
- Extensive experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of communications and media strategies
- Extensive experience providing advice at a senior and political level on media strategy
- Demonstrated experience in recognising issues and developing strategies to mitigate / manage risk and minimise reputational damage to Council
- Experience producing high-quality content for traditional and new media
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in new media and the ability to implement change processes
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- A demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
- Superior interpersonal skills with a track record of building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including management, staff, government agencies and the community
- Covid-19 vaccinated

Your commencing salary will be circa **$102,000- $112,000 p.a. + superannuation **dependant on skills and experience
