**Why you will enjoy this role?**

As the HR Advisor, you will report directly to the Head of HR and work alongside a HR Assistant, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced generalist advisory role. Your responsibilities will include actively driving employee engagement initiatives and curating training and development opportunities to foster a vibrant and productive workplace culture.

You will be responsible for recruiting new talent and serving as a key advisor to managers on policy, procedures, employment conditions, and parental leave matters. Your expertise, experience, and solution-oriented approach will empower you to effectively handle confidential workplace issues.

You'll have the opportunity to showcase your excellent knowledge and comprehension of the Fair Work framework, actively staying informed about any legislative updates to proactively navigate changes.

During 'Show time,' you will fully engage in our Volunteers Program, contributing to the delivery of over 500 customer service volunteers for the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

For this role, a high level of flexibility is essential due to the demands of the events industry. Working weekends and public holidays during the SRES period and other event times will be a standard expectation.

**To excel in this role, **you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an advisory or similar role, with a strong understanding of HR best practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
- This role requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC)
