About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Human Resource Advisor to support a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and employee relations.

Reporting directly to the Director, the HR Advisor will play a key role in ensuring a fair, compliant, and engaged workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Spearhead the end-to-end recruitment process for all technical, production, and administrative roles, including the strategic coordination of job advertisements, applicant screening, interviews and final selection processes.

- Maintain personnel records and HR information systems.

- Manage all vacancy details, meticulously recording and communicating current job descriptions, competitive wage structures, and precise employment terms to internal stakeholders and prospective candidates.

- Act as the primary subject matter expert and provide timely, pragmatic advice to management on complex workplace relations issues, including performance management strategies, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures, ensuring all actions mitigate risk and comply with legal obligations.

- Organise and conduct comprehensive staff inductions, ensuring new hires are seamlessly integrated and clearly understand their conditions of service, salary and benefits, and structured career development opportunities within the company.

- Actively support and participate in negotiations regarding employment conditions, and proactively resolve workplace disputes and grievances, promoting a fair and productive working environment.

- Interpret, apply, and ensure compliance with all relevant industrial legislation, modern awards and internal workplace policies.

- Develop, implement, and manage strategic workplace relations strategies, and innovative productivity-based wage structures tailored to the needs of the powder coating production environment.

- Oversee and champion employee consultation processes and participation initiatives across the facility, fostering strong communication and a culture of collaborative decision-making

Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar HR role
- Experience in powder coating, manufacturing, or a related industry (preferred)
- Familiarity with HR software such as Lightning Payroll (preferred)

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, or equivalent qualification

- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Comfortable working in a factory or industrial environment
