**The Role**
The Executive Officer, Congress sits within the Conference & Events Team and provides Events strategic project and business coordination, administration services, governance reporting and committee secretariat support. The role primarily supports the execution of the RACP’s flagship event, Congress, however may be seconded to additional projects as required.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Provision of high-level secretariat management to the Congress Program Committee including arranging meetings and the production of agendas and minutes.
- Coordination of all Congress communication channels as well as the promotion of key Congress events
- Management of the Congress inbox and drafting of all relevant correspondence, effectively addressing issues as they arise in a timely manner
- Arrange Congress Committee meetings, including production of agendas and minutes, as well as other meetings as required.
- Development and revision of key event documentation including processes and procedures, programming and the Committee Terms of Reference.
- Implement Congress Program Committee decisions in consultation with the Congress team and CEM.
- Monitor and advise on Congress and Event policies and by-laws, and ensure these are regularly reviewed and updated.

- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for outcomes, while also collaborating in a professional team

- Capacity to work with complexity and work within a complex structure with often competing agendas
