**About the Role**:We are looking for a Congress and Events Associate to join our team. In this role, you will utilize your creativity and excellent organizational skills to coordinate congresses and educational activities (locally and internationally) in our medical products division. In this demanding and hands on role, you will take ownership in managing and supporting event projects from brief to execution and measurement. You will provide best in class customer experiences and communicate the values of Gore in alignment with the marketing and business strategies.

This role will be located at our facility in Sydney, Australia.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver Seamlessly on all the Marketing driven events for the Medical Products Divisions, as outlined in the Congress & Events plan, whilst ensuring exceptional customer experiences
- Manage stakeholders, communications, and marketing materials for all marketing driven events
- Coordination of regular Congress & Event workstream meetings with internal stakeholders to ensure event deliverables are clear, and responsibilities are allocated per event
- Ensure compliance protocols are adhered to for all events (as per the MTAA policies and internal Gore policies)
- Manage the development of travel itineraries required for physicians attending interstate/international Gore driven events - working closely with our travel agency (FCM)
- Create the event websites and event communications using Cvent, monitoring registrations and handling all event related enquiries.
- Work closely with the Marketing team and congress organisers, to develop event materials required, whilst ensuring adherence to branding guidelines.
- Create detailed written documentation for all events and provide to our internal and external customers, including project plans, event orders, run sheets, personalized programs for travelling physicians etc.
- Contribute to post-event analysis and evaluation of the overall success of our major (Tier 1) events against objectives, and provide recommendations for improvements

**Required Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in an Event management role in a medical environment
- Minimum 5 years proven success in organizing and managing congress and events
- Proven experience using digital tools for coordination, event management and communication
- Problem solving skills and strong relationship management skills
- Outstanding communication skills - written, interpersonal and negotiation
- Planning and organizing skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Resilience and adaptability
- Ability to work on projects with multiple teams and juggle priorities in a busy environment
- Strong sense of initiative and able to work independently and part of a team
- Ability to travel approximately up to 15%

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Tertiary qualification, preferably in Event Management
- Experienced in utilising Cvent as an event platform
