This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Pyrmont, Sydney. There are approximately 200 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 300 staff by end of 2026. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Denmark, Germany and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.

**About the role**

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for guiding the development of our software and hardware system solutions from conception to launch. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including SW/HW engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure our products meet market needs and exceed customer expectations.

Reporting directly to the CTO, the position represents an exceptional opportunity for a result-driven individual in a rewarding and fast-growing market.

**Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations**
- Product Vision & Strategy: Define and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with company goals.
- Roadmap Development: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key milestones and deliverables, ensuring it reflects the overall business strategy.
- Backlog Management: Prioritise and manage the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable features are delivered to customers.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the CTO, VP of Embedded Systems, Systems Engineers, Sales Executive Directors, Developers, and Project Managers, to gather requirements, define product features, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Business Strategy Alignment: Understand the company’s business strategy and ensure it is reflected in the product roadmap and development priorities.
- User Stories & Acceptance Criteria: Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
- Product Launch: Coordinate product launches, including beta testing, user feedback collection, and go-to-market strategies.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor product performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**
- Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager or similar role in software and hardware development.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of software and hardware development processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of business strategy and how to align product development with business goals.
