**The Client**

Long established freight forwarder and customs brokerage offers inhouse services to its niche list of loyal clients.

**The Position**

The Customs Broker will be responsible for:

- Prepare and lodge air and sea customs entries
- Liaise with clients, government departments and authorities
- Attend client visits as required
- Assist with import operational processes as required
- Provide general and technical advice to clients
- Ensure the accurate and timely classification and lodgement of import clearances
- Respond to customs inquiries from colleagues and customers, identify duty savings areas for clients
- Maintaining and training on current changes to customs processes and regulations

**The Requirements**
- Strong customs knowledge - you must be an experienced Australian licensed Customs Broker
- Excellent understanding of freight forwarding operations from beginning to end
- Flexible, proactive attitude
- Ability to plan and work with autonomy and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Supportive nature and strong business acumen
