**Job Description**:
We are currently seeking a diligent, professional **Data Security & Privacy Officer **to join our team full-time in either Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast locations. The Data Security and Privacy Officer will play a key role in managing Corporate Compliance with respect to Data Privacy and Security within the Minor Hotels ANZ region. Reporting to the ANZ Group Director of IT you will be a part of Global Minor Data Protection Committee to represent Minor Hotels ANZ.
**Duties and responsibilities**
- Implement key IT security and privacy policies, procedures, and processes.
- Assist Business Owners to meet MH ANZ Group obligations.
- Provide 1st & 2nd line of compliance reviews and monitoring activities.
- Support data privacy training, awareness, and communication activities.
- Liaise with the Minor Hotels privacy compliance functions.
- Reporting to Data Protection committees and keeping of minutes, if required.
- Timely prescribed and ad hoc reporting.
- Support and undertake Minor Group data privacy and protection projects and training initiatives.
- Provide consultative support in the implementation of (risk mitigating) strategies and campaigns and assist with the coordination of any associated procedures in relation to new products, services or campaigns.
- Report and escalate risk and data privacy related concerns, issues, and failures.
**Qualifications**:
**To be successful in the role you will require the follwoing qualifications, skills and experience**:
- A Bachelor level qualification or cybersecurity experience in a medium to large enterprises environment
- 2+ years’ experience with privacy and security frameworks.
- Familiar with compliance standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS.
- Experience in the preparation of reports, procedures, strategy, and related documents.
- Experience with assessing and developing enterprise-wide policies and procedures for IT risk mitigation and incident response.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and preparation of reports and/or commentary on findings.
