Manager, Specialist Operations

As the Manager of Specialist Operations, you will lead a dedicated function responsible for driving end-to-end process re-design, operational transformation, automation, and scalable operating model improvements across Group Operations.
Your leadership will enable the uplift of process efficiency, risk management and capability while ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer outcomes.
**You’ll make an impact by**:

- Lead and develop a high-performing Specialist Operations team to deliver continuous improvement, process re-engineering, and transformation initiatives across Group Operations.
- Oversee the identification, analysis, and redesign of operational processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and alignment with customer service expectations and service level agreements.
- Ensure operational processes are optimised to balance customer experience, productivity, costs, risk management, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Champion a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, fostering an environment where new ideas and improved ways of working are encouraged and adopted.
- Collaborate closely with Banking Operations & Payments, Consumer and Home Lending Operations, and other key stakeholders.

**Do things differently with us**

**To succeed in this role, you will have**:

- Proven leadership experience (10+ years) in operational excellence, process improvement, or transformation roles within financial services or a similarly complex operational environment.
- Demonstrated success in delivering process redesign, automation, and transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency, risk management, and customer experience.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements in banking or financial services e.g., CCC, Code of Practice, Privacy Act).
- Experience in developing and embedding scalable, sustainable operating models and process frameworks.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Relevant risk, process improvement, or operational excellence certifications (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) desirable.
