The role In this role, you'll ensure adherence to defined service quality standards, health, and safety policies, aligning actions with Queensland Health's core values. You'll assess notifications received under the Act, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while meeting service and performance targets. Technical assessments of notifications will be conducted to ensure compliance with the Act, and you'll correspond with pharmacy owners accordingly. Building positive relationships with external stakeholders, providing guidance on ownership notifications, and managing cases of non-compliance under supervision are key responsibilities.
The successful personTo excel in this position, you should possess demonstrated familiarity with or the capacity to swiftly grasp knowledge of the Pharmacy Business Ownership Act 2001, its notification submission requirements, compliance criteria, and the regulatory mechanisms governing pharmacy ownership in Queensland. Furthermore, a demonstrated understanding of business frameworks and commercial transactions is essential, including the ability to critically evaluate intricate ownership structures and commercial contracts like leases and franchises.
Moreover, you should exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, enabling you to analyse and interpret data effectively and convey insights through written correspondence and reports. Exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills are crucial, facilitating effective engagement, negotiation, and collaboration with colleagues, internal stakeholders, and a diverse array of external counterparts. Although not mandatory, possessing a relevant qualification would be advantageous. Additionally, willingness to participate in on-call rotations and after-hours work is necessary for efficiently managing incidents and promptly addressing health protection concerns. It's important to note that there may be busy periods where taking leave could be restricted.
