**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Through a targeted approach, continue to develop the game of Australian Rules through the implementation and execution of AFL programs to gain maximum participation levels at Community Football, NAB AFL Auskick, NAB Superkick and AFL NINES across the ACT region. This will occur through best-in-class delivery and ensuring high-quality customer experience across all football and fan engagement programs.
**A DAY IN THE LIFE OF**
**_Key Accountabilities:_**
- Support junior clubs and Auskick centres in relation to recruitment, volunteers, coaching, protocols, promotion and venue hire
- Drive program bookings to achieve aspirational growth targets.
- Deliver and run a variety of AFL programs in either school or after-school time. Programs could be school curriculum linked, Auskick, Superkick, all-abilities or others.
- Conduct promotional activities to meet participant targets e.g. school assemblies and other promotional activities.
- Ensure each program is delivered in line with the program curriculum and all participants can participate in a safe, friendly & fun environment.
- Drive program bookings to achieve aspirational growth targets.
- Liaise with teachers, schools and other program stakeholders.
- Facilitate AFL player visits and fan engagement activities.
- Contribute to key projects within and outside of core role.
- Support and contribute to the success of the broader team.

The AFL has a commitment to ensure we provide professional, safe and enjoyable environments to children and young people who participate in our game. The executive and management of our organisation are responsible for undertaking recruitment and ensuring that our processes and systems are robust and thorough, as well as being communicated and understood internally. Our recruitment process is a 5-step process and includes meeting and engaging with a variety of key people from across the organisation as well as completing thorough verification checks. As part of our comprehensive recruitment process, we ensure that all safety and legislative checks such as working with children checks, Criminal background checks, employment and personal reference checks are completed to ensure anyone working for the AFL is fit for the role they are employed in, prior to commencing employment. The AFL takes the safety of children and young people very seriously and reviews all process and procedures in line with current state and federal legislation.
