- The UX Researcher is a member of the Design team which partners with Product and Engineering teams across the business to create amazing products and experiences for our consumers and customers. Our world-class team designs experiences that connect people and property, through immersive, intuitive and personalised experiences, providing Australians with knowledge and confidence to make great property decisions. Their passion for innovation drives them to create products our consumers and customers love.

What the role is all about- Working collaboratively with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, UX Researchers, Data scientists, Marketing team and various other stakeholders to help shape and ship new products and features-
- Crafting research plans, recruit, and undertake user research to identify problems, define solutions and validate concepts and prototypes with our consumers-
- Maintaining and updating research templates and frameworks, research libraries, recruitment processes, among others-
- Designing and facilitating workshops, user research activities, stakeholder interviews and research critique sessions-
- Facilitating both 1:1 and remote user research activities such as: usability testing, a range of fidelity concept testing on a variety of devices (desktop, mobile, tablet), contextual inquiry, survey design, competitive and comparative analysis, and other research methods-
- Presenting research insights and participating in providing best practice feedback and guidance in regular research critiques to ensure consistency and quality outcomesWho we’re looking for- We are looking for someone with a proven track record of 3+ years of experience in practicing design research, with a focus on qualitative researchAn understanding quantitative data analysis, and experimentation as part of mixed methods approaches-
- Good knowledge of inclusive design practices and accessibility-
- Good understanding of the design process and product management-
- Someone with strong communication skills for impact and effective influencing-
- Experience with different research methodologies and comfortable facilitating workshops with a range of stakeholders and/or customers using ideation techniques-
- Someone with a growth mindset, a positive attitude and able to take on and give clear and constructive feedback-
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, with an intrapreneurial ownership mentality-
- Someone with excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to build relationships across different levels in the organisationThe REA experience
