About the Role
Senior UX Researcher - Allied Health Practice Management
We're seeking a Senior UX Researcher to establish and lead research practices across Splose's growing product organisation. You'll shape how we listen to practitioners, practice owners, and patients, ensuring every product decision connects to real-world needs. This role blends strategic leadership and hands-on research, partnering across four product teams while embedding within focus areas as needed. You'll help evolve Splose from an engineering-led company to a product-empowered one, influencing decisions about market expansion, compliance, and core product evolution. You'll report to the Principal Product Designer; working closely with our Chief Product Officer, Product Managers and Product Designers.
Key Responsibilities:
Establishing Research Foundations
- Build feedback loops across product teams with baseline usability metrics and ongoing measurement.
- Create personas, journey maps, and problem frameworks specific to allied health.
- Develop research playbooks enabling teams to run basic studies while ensuring consistency and quality.
- Grow research literacy across product, design, and engineering.
Strategic Research
- Participate in comparative market research for UK and US expansion—understanding regulatory, workflow, and terminology differences.
- Identify opportunities and risks to guide go-to-market and product localisation.
- Advise on HIPAA compliance implications
Product-Specific Initiatives
- Research online booking and payment workflows to reduce no-shows and improve adoption.
- Study clinical documentation workflows to streamline practitioner reporting.
- Explore practitioner–patient–owner dynamics to balance efficiency, profitability, and experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product managers and designers to ensure insights directly inform priorities.
- Translate complex findings into clear recommendations.
- Combine qualitative research with data from analytics tools like Posthog/Mixpanel
About You:
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of UX research experience in product or service environments.
- Proven experience establishing research practices and operations in scaling organisations.
- Skilled in generative and evaluative research: discovery, usability testing, and validation.
- Strong quantitative literacy—comfortable with survey design, analytics tools, and experiment design.
- Ability to synthesise complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Familiarity with AI tools and their use in accelerating research.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background or experience in healthcare or allied health (e.g. physiotherapy, psychology, occupational therapy).
- Knowledge of privacy and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, NDIS).
- Experience researching multi-sided platforms and B2B SaaS ecosystems.
- Familiarity with UK and US healthcare systems and market differences.
- Experience scaling research operations and repositories.
- Experience using the following tools: Great Question (research ops), Grain (call recording), Intercom (customer insights), and Canny (community feedback).

Adapt methods and insights across markets with cultural and regulatory awareness.
