**The Role**:
Vue de monde is currently looking for an exceptionally talented Head Sommelier to join our award-winning team. Vue de Monde is the iconic heart of the Vue Group, showcasing brilliant Australian produce in breath-taking surroundings. Our fine-dining restaurant is consistently reviewed amongst Australia's best. Vue de monde provides a dining experience incomparable to any other with sweeping views across Melbourne, coupled with world-class degustation offerings.

As the head Sommelier you will be responsible for the direction of the overall wine strategy of Vue de monde, successfully managing the wine inventory, with a strong focus on leading the wine direction, development and strategy of Vue de monde.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for the management of the Vue de monde wine team, ensuring that we provide guests with aspirational experiences by overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the beverage functions and wine team.
- Proven experience in a similar senior role, preferably in a hatted or Michelin starred establishment.
- Minimum 5 years front of house experience in a premium or fine dining establishment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Diverse international and local wine knowledge
- Flexible availability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Positive, friendly and outgoing manner
- Excellent presentation
- Ability to work under pressure
- Valid Victorian RSA certificate
- Completion of WSET Level 2 or higher, with a desire to complete further studies
- Court of Sommeliers - Certified Sommelier qualification (Essential)

This position will require flexibility and weekend work, your shifts may comprise of a combination of day and night shifts in accordance with business demands.

**Remuneration package**:
Salary offered is between $80,000 - $90,000 p.a. plus superannuation.
