Mobile PC Pro is looking for someone with experience either from a previous lT job or with their own personal experience in repairing Windows software/hardware problems. Some experience in troubleshooting Mac computers is required also.

Job applicants with a Windows laptop are more likely to be considered for the position as it is helpful to have one to bring along on jobs. If you don't have a Windows laptop it could sometimes mean that you will need to take clients computers home to work on so that you can use your computer at home to finish a job (Eg. Data recovery from a dead PC with an internal hard drive that is still operational).

**Requirements, Responsibilities and Duties**
- Computer problem solving experience with software and hardware issues on Windows and Mac computers.
- We also sometimes setup new hardware in new shops and homes.
- Working from home to remotely service clients.
- Screwdriver set is required
- SATA, NVMe, M.2 SSD/Hard drive docking bay required
- Driver's licence and your own car (occasionally required to transport hardware so motorbikes/scooters are not suitable)
- Driving out to homes and businesses on the Gold Coast (and sometimes outside of the Gold Coast) to provide technical support of all kinds on Windows and Mac computers.
- An ABN as this is how we pay you. This can be obtained online
- Your own Windows laptop
- Take calls from clients on your personal mobile phone to book in jobs and work on them
- You are liable for any damage/loss of hardware/data. This hasn't happened yet, but you need to be aware of this.

**Perks of the Job**
- Work your own hours - you choose the days/times that you would like to work. We are flexible with this.
- Your office is different every day - work on customers systems at their place and sometimes bring their computers home to work on them.
- Depending on what remote support jobs are available, you can work from home on some days of the week.

**Pay**
- Onsite Work: $45/hour during normal business hours. $67.50/hour for jobs done outside of normal business hours and weekend jobs.
- Remote Support Work: $35/hour
- Once you are sufficiently trained in handling jobs on your own, pay increases to $50/hour for onsite jobs during normal business hours, $75/hour for after hours onsite jobs and $40/hour for remote support jobs.
- Hourly pay is based on what we charge the client - Eg. charge the client 2 hours, you're paid 2 hours.
- Onsite Gold Coast jobs don't pay a travel fee, this is included in your hourly onsite rate
- Most onsite jobs go for 1 - 2 hours on average. There occasionally jobs that go from 9am-5pm. Most remote support jobs go for 0.5 - 3 hours on average

- Every week, the amount of work is variable and paid on commission based on hours charged to the client. Eg, 2 hours of work charged to the client is paid 2 hours of work to you. Is approximately $800 - $1500 a week in pay ok?

This is based on previous technicians average weekly pay and is based on how much work comes in on any given day.

On some days, 30 mins - a few hours are spent on individual jobs and there are multiple small jobs and on other days there can be a single job that takes a whole day to complete.

On some days there are a few hours break in between jobs and this allows for you to attend to any other personal commitments/grab lunch, if you like.

Based on the random nature of scheduled jobs, does this job work for you?
- Are you able to talk in plain terms that a non-IT savvy person can understand? This is needed to be able to explain in plain English to our clients what has happened on their job or what needs to happen so that they aren’t left confused.
