**About the role**
Reporting directly to the Head of Legal & Group Compliance, this opportunity will play a pivotal role in Supporting Origin to meet business regulatory obligations while executing strategy through the energy transition.This is a newly created position and will be working closely with Compliance specialists within different business units and coordinating at a central level.
**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Formalise roles and responsibilities of the Group Compliance Function, in consultation with key internal stakeholders across Origin.
- Develop relationships with internal stakeholders, including those with responsibility for risk management and compliance within business units.
- Work with business units and owners of relevant policies and directives to ensure appropriate resourcing and coverage within business unit compliance functions.
- Establish, manage and continuously improve Origin’s compliance management strategy and associated methodologies and processes, proactively working with business units to embed the principles and objectives.
- Review and maintain Origin's Compliance Directive and support business units to comply, including by developing a toolkit to assist business units to meet compliance obligations.
- Develop and implement a process for Group Compliance to periodically check and challenge compliance with Compliance Directive requirements and enterprise-wide obligations.
- Keep up to date with regulatory changes and external developments and best practice for managing group compliance across other industries.
- Communicate regulatory change to business process owners and provide practical implementation support.
- Deliver insightful management reporting on Group compliance issues.
- Develop and provide training on the Group Compliance and Risk Management frameworks.
- Promote a culture of compliance awareness, management and control throughout the organisation.
- Provide compliance support and advice to particular business units as required, including Origin's Energy Supply & Operations division.
**About you**
- [3-5+] years in leading compliance management, with significant experience in enterprise-wide compliance.
- Extensive knowledge of, and direct experience with, best practice compliance.
- Experience partnering with business leaders to achieve efficient and effective compliance outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills and demonstrated skills at building consensus and driving change.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement.
