**The Role**
An exciting opportunity exists for a Human Resources Adviser to join the McCullough Robertson HR team, based in Brisbane on an initial 18-month parental leave contract.
As an HR Adviser, you will operate within a high-performing culture, working closely with the business in driving the national recruitment strategy across the firm. You will also oversee the Graduate and Clerk program strategies and provide Human Resources operational support to a number of areas across the firm. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist, Partners and Managers to initiate, manage and report on recruitment activity;
- Managing the budget and effectiveness of the recruitment function and systems, and regular review of current resourcing strategies in the context of business needs and market conditions;
- Working closely with the HR Graduate Coordinator to drive the Brisbane Graduate and Clerk strategy, including annual recruitment processes, learning & development program, as well as check in processes and managing graduate rotations;
- Providing HR operational support to the clerks and graduates to ensure a positive employee experience;
- Providing HR operational support to the Legal Assistants in the Brisbane office including coordinating regular learning sessions and working closely with the Legal Assistant Coordinators to ensure Legal Assistant ratios are resourced correctly;
- Supervision of the Relief Legal Assistant team and Corporate Reception team; and
- Providing HR operational assistance to the Human Resources Manager managing the broader legal operations in the Brisbane office.
**Experience**
- A minimum of five years’ experience in human resources/recruitment, gained in either the legal or professional services environment;
- Excellent understanding of the essential elements of an effective recruitment and onboarding process;
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills;
- Ability to make sound judgments regarding recruitment recommendations and well developed interpersonal skills;
- Strong desire to provide outstanding service to internal clients, including Partners, Managers, and newly recruited employees;
- A preparedness to participate in HR and L&D activities outside normal business hours as required.
