We are looking for an experienced and motivated HR Advisor who can provide professional human resources support across all areas of the business. This position will play a key role in managing recruitment, employee relations, training, and compliance while helping foster a supportive and performance-driven workplace culture.
Human Resources Adviser: Queensland Steel Frame Solutions – Yeerongpilly, QLD
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including job advertising, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
• Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records, HR databases, and reporting systems in line with company and legislative requirements.
• Provide timely advice and guidance to management and employees on workplace policies, industrial relations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
• Develop and implement staff induction and training programs to promote awareness of company policies, safety procedures, and employee benefits.
• Support department managers in developing position descriptions and employment contracts consistent with Fair Work and modern award standards.
• Liaise with external recruitment agencies, training providers, and industry associations to ensure effective talent acquisition and workforce planning.
• Participate in employee engagement programs and support workplace consultation initiatives to enhance staff satisfaction and retention.
• Interpret and apply employment laws, awards, and enterprise agreements to ensure compliance with industrial relations and workplace legislation.
• Assist in resolving staff grievances and disputes through clear communication, mediation, and adherence to procedural fairness.
• Contribute to developing HR strategies, workplace policies, and performance appraisal systems aligned with organisational goals.
• Coordinate payroll data with the finance team, ensuring accuracy of employee records, entitlements, and leave management.
• Oversee health and safety inductions in collaboration with the WHS team and ensure all employees meet site compliance standards.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HR processes, systems, and employee support services.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Human Resources Management or a related discipline (AQF Level 7 or above).
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in human resources, recruitment, or industrial relations.
Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 plus superannuation per annum
Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
