**About School Infrastructure**
School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.

**About the Role**
Be part of an exciting time to lead the transformation of the People and Performance team. This role will drive positive employee experiences and relations to optimise people outcomes for over 1400 people across the state. You will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions including oversight of recruitment, human resources strategies and processes, acting as a business partner to our services, internal industrial relations advice and overseeing business process and system improvements.

Lead the People and Performance team to design and deliver the entire Human Resources services offering within School Infrastructure NSW. Priorities include managing end-to-end recruitment services, leading the learning and development and employee engagement program to optimise people outcomes for over 1400 people across the state.

You will work across the division to build skills and systems and provide executive advice as needed.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Manage a team, provide guidance and monitor workflow of high-volume human resource requests, implement/troubleshoot department processes and initiatives to achieve outcomes, improve service delivery and meet stakeholder needs.
- Provide consistent and accurate high-level advice, solutions and recommendations to managers on workforce management matters and issues including recruitment, establishment, employee performance and development, and industrial relations, ensuring information is in accordance with departmental policy and relevant legislation, and seeking advice from the department’s HR directorate where relevant.
- Coach, influence and empower managers to implement a diverse range of workforce strategies including recruitment, performance development, succession planning, and grievances procedures.
- Provide advice, support and guidance to staff where required to ensure matters of concern are addressed in a timely, professional and efficient manner.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualification in human resource management, organisational development, learning and development, or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience across all aspects of human resources with strong experience in HR leadership role including leading teams
- Experience working across all aspects of human resource management (employee relations, workforce planning, talent acquisition and management, learning and organisational development, etc.)
- A passion for people and ambition, drive and commitment to continuous improvement
- Strategic thinking and planning skills with the ability to execute and deliver mange change initiatives to completion
- Confident and transparent communicator who’s able to coach and mentor colleagues on HR topics
- Project management skills with the ability to convert strategy into action
- Ability to deal sensitively with difficult issues
- Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills

**Essential requirements of the role**
- Tertiary qualification in human resource management, organisational development, learning and development, or a related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the value of public education

**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
