**Role responsibilities**
The People and Culture Manager will oversee a generalist portfolio, drive people and culture initiatives and support a positive working environment. This is a varied role where you will get to work both operationally and strategically and you will report to the COO.
- Manage, motivate and mentor one direct report
- Develop effective relationships internally, supporting workplace health and safety, and consistent implementation of policies and practices
- Business partner and advise across generalist HR matters (performance management, etc) providing timely guidance in line with best practice/current legislation
- Oversee learning and development strategy and implementation for the organisation
- Drive a competitive recruitment strategy designed to attract, retain, and develop the best talent for the organisation
- Work on interesting projects such as DEI initiatives, employee engagement initiatives as well as organisational developmental initiatives
You will have previous experience leading the Human Resources function internally and have a growth mindset, as well as being very comfortable operating at both the strategic and operational levels.
- Proven experience in human resource management, with a relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Learning & Development, Business Management or similar (qualifications by experience may be considered)
- Excellent communication/relationship-building skills (able to build strategic relationships with key internal/ external partners and stakeholders)
- Experience managing organisational development and/or change management
- Strong technical proficiency and experience using HRIS, as well as optimising systems to get the best value from them
