**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Public Sector People are partnering with a well-known government organization to recruit for a Human Resources Business Partner.

As a Business Partner in our team, your role will involve understanding and addressing the needs of employees and culture. You'll work closely with different departments to provide valuable support that aligns with our council's goals.

This includes:

- Giving clear guidance to both managers and employees regarding employment conditions, such as those outlined in the NSW Local Government Award and other agreements, as well as our own organizational policies.
- Developing, implementing, and promoting policies and programs related to People and Culture. These initiatives aim to ensure that everyone has equal access to opportunities, whether it's in employment, promotions, or training.
- Being the go-to person for managers and staff when it comes to resolving issues related to employees or industrial relations.
- Conducting investigations when necessary and offering recommendations to management on the best way forward.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Previous experience in **Government/Education/NFP** industry
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related discipline or lesser formal qualifications with substantial experience
- Demonstrated experience working as an internal consultant/ business partner delivering contemporary solution focused HR/ER initiatives, advice and support services within a medium to large size organization
- Demonstrated problem solving, advisory and coaching skills, including the ability to create and maintain positive relationships across the organization and add value through positively influence people management capability and practices across the organization.
