Our client is an Australian pharmaceutical company who work with local and overseas partners to bring critical pharmaceutical products and medical technology solutions to the Australian market. Their priority areas include infectious diseases, specialty care and in-vitro diagnostics, a portfolio that also enables them to support the Australian Government and key organisations in emergency health planning.

**The Role and Responsibilities**

This is a hybrid account manager role where you will sell direct to clinics focussing on vaccines and infectious diseases. With an emerging portfolio, the opportunity will be there to sell to specialists as well as specialised clinics and GPs. The responsibilities will include:

- Effectively communicate product benefits to promote appropriate use of the portfolio. This includes being able to clearly identify the right patients/ person who would benefit and providing solutions for customer’s needs
- Through exceptional knowledge and customer service, develop strong effective relationships with customer
- Conduct essential field activities including 1:1 meetings, in-services and departmental meetings
- Respond with a sense of urgency to customer queries
- Continuously develop and maintain a high level of disease, therapy and technical knowledge through participation in formal training and self-learning
- Identify and develop physician advocates for our products in each state
- Continuously identify new opportunities in-field through discussions with customers and desk-top research
- Attend conferences and utilise these to strengthen the current relationships and build your network
- Meet sales targets and drive sales results through effective target coverage

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualifications preferably in a science or business-related discipline
- Understanding of pharmaceutical/medical device development life cycle
- Experience in pharmaceutical sales,vaccines knowledge will be an advantage but is not essential
- Ability to comprehend and effectively communicate high levels of technical, therapeutic and disease and product information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Robust Knowledge of MA’s Code of Conduct
- Must be a commercially aware and strategic thinker who is customer focused, reliable and results-driven
- Able to work with mínimal supervision
