As Supply Chain Manager you will lead a strong multi-functional supply chain team to deliver maximum performance to the business. In this opportunity, you will work with an established an efficient supply planning, purchasing and customer servicing team, working across all internal and external stakeholders. You are well known for your ability to ensure manufacturing is planned at optimal capacity to achieve desired DIFOT and business efficiencies and influencing the team to deliver to this also. Your role activities include developing and implementing a highly effective product life cycle process to ensure new products are successfully launched on time. Assessing profitability and feasibility of innovations and delivering procurement savings as well as managing inventory to optimise working capital and reduce slow moving and obsolete stock will form part of your remit. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with local and overseas suppliers to establish strategic partnerships to obtain the best value for spend at all times. Of course, diagnosing issues and introducing solutions to optimise the end-to-end supply chain process will be a focus of your role.

**Your key responsibilities will be to**:

- Build a strong multi-functional supply chain team, optimising resources to achieve a high-level business performance.
- Establish and maintain positive business relationships with stakeholders for all supply chain related activities to improve overall business processes.
- Manage supply chain and logistics activities to be efficient, dependable and cost effective in line with the business deliverables.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, operations and suppliers to develop Supply Chain procedures and processes.
- Lead the team to ensure all raw materials and packaging materials are brought in on time within budget. Provide leadership, support, and guidance to direct reports ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and resources to undertake their tasks effectively.
- Manage, coach and mentor the team by improving engagement and culture through leadership and training.
- Manage the entire MRP process in the planning of procurement, scheduling, inventory control, logistics and distribution; enabling streamlined processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities.
- Maximise production capacity (RCCP and Planning Board) to improve operational efficiency and ensure production is planned at the best of the business’ capacity to exceed customers’ DIFOT expectations.
- Monitor KPIs, conduct analyses and implement effective process improvements in the supply chain. Identify new vendors/suppliers without jeopardizing quality and DIFOT service delivery.
- Optimise inventory level to meet service levels and minimize working capital.
- Analyse current processes and systems on planning, purchasing and inventory management then introduce solutions and implement improvement action plans.
- Lead new product development for customers and ensure capacity is allotted to projects to meet product range launches. Work with customers to simplify products design in order to reduce cost of goods or improve production efficiency.
- Assess profitability and feasibility of innovations and developments on existing products through product costing and coordination with the production team.
- Work closely with regulatory and R&D team to ensure adherence to all safety, health, environmental rules and regulations.
- Generate and review weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to manage supply chain KPIs and update stakeholders - EGM, Sales, Operations and Finance.

**Your skills and experience**

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

- A keen eye for detail
- Strong ability to question the status quo and challenge the business positively
- Advanced SAP and Excel experience
- An ability to understand and analyse data to develop trends and set direction for the business
- A formal qualification in a Supply Chain or Manufacturing related discipline
- Strong interpersonal, communication & presentation skills
- A Production Planning background, ideally gained within a FMCG or Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
