As a Platform Technology Manager you are responsible for ensuring the Platform’s build and run systems are within the approved Platform technology roadmap and provide technical leadership to the Platform.

In Momentum (Suncorp’s delivery model), a Platform is a collection of Squads aligned to the Platform’s purpose and outcomes. Each Squad is a cross-functional autonomous team with end-to-end responsibility for a specific customer-focused outcome.

**What you’ll do**
- Accountable for ensuring correct technical decisions are made and solutions built, within guardrails (along with Platform Lead) - represents all of Technology and Transformation (T&T) within Platform leadership
- Responsible for shortening time to value by ensuring architecture delivers on strategic goals and within risk appetite
- Responsible for supporting Platform to navigate Practice guardrails and approvals, in collaboration with Practice Leads
- Stakeholder Management of key T&T and Business Executives
- Informs strategic direction for Platform strategy, ensure strategic delivery is aligned to technical requirement and strategic intent
- Accountable for ensuring appropriate technical decisions and solutions built
- Works across T&T Domains and provides technical thought leadership to the Platforms & Tribes
- Responsible for the roadmap for Platform-owned assets, in collaboration with architects

**What you’ll bring**
- Relevant university degree or equivalent (desired)
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role; Technical / Architecture / Engineering Lead
- Ability to rapidly develop trust and credibility with senior stakeholders including strong facilitation skills
- Ability to provide expert advice to key stakeholders, influencing and negotiating as required, backed up with sound logic and data
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders both technical and business stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritising and time allocation
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to work in a rapidly changing environment, and to make sense of and operate in ambiguity
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) -ability to take the lead to influence and drive a strategic view, while explaining information, coherently and confidently at all levels
- Advanced analytical skills - ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships
- Change management capability - ability to recognise, understand and support need for change and anticipated impact on both the team, business and self
- Customer focus - proven commitment to driving a customer focused culture and driving business value outcomes
- Strong negotiation skills with a constructive and collaborative style and excellent problem solving skills; ability to seek out information and break down problems and situations into simple lists of components.
