This role exists to support the busy Development Assessment and Compliance business unit. Falling under this unit are the services units of Building Services, Statutory Planning, Public Health and Subdivisional. This role is responsible for implementing and enforcing the Council and it’s administrations’ regulatory decisions regarding Planning and Building, land use, activities and development within the district.

This position is accountable for ensuring that decisions are implemented in accordance with legislation and policy, addressing community complaints and negotiating to resolve compliance matters. As part of this role you will be expected to conduct site inspections, collect evidence, and represent the City in court along with the City’s solicitors. This role will suit an applicant that possesses:

- High levels of organisational skills, sound evidence collecting abilities and record keeping practices for use in court proceedings.
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- High levels of self-motivation
- Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Sound computer skills
- Relevant experience in a similar role

**Salary**: $78, 821 - $92, 216 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
