Our Geographic Information System (GIS) team is an industry leader, having won a National Gold Award against Local, State and Federal Government for progressive work with GIS. This role exists to support the development, implementation and maintenance of the City’s GIS System - ESRI.

Maintaining IntraMaps/ESRI to a highly accurate level is integral to this role as it supports the work of our Building Surveyors, Planning Officers, Rates Services, Engineering and Roads, Parks and Environmental, Asset Management, Health, Recreation and Ranger Services as well as the City’s Website.

We are seeking a motivated and positive team member with effective communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and efficiently. We require a person that can also demonstrate time management skills, a high level of initiative, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, while also being totally committed to customer satisfaction and continual business improvement.

**The Person**

Our successful applicant will have the following attributes:

- Completion of a Tertiary qualification in Geographic Information Systems or Spatial Science
- Knowledge of GIS concepts and the design of spatial databases and digitising.
- Knowledge in SQL Server Database Development.
- Knowledge in web mapping and web services (WFS/WMS/Tile Server etc)
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage and prioritise multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Effective communication skills to empower users and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Willingness to learn new concepts.

**Salary**: $82, 721 - $87, 753 per annum depending on qualifications and experience
