Immediate Start Temp Asset Officer Local Council, East of Perth

This Local Council is approximately 30 minutes east from the Perth CBD. The area offers a mix of natural bushland, hill walks, vineyards and a vibrant community with 70,000 residents. **Your new role**

As an Asset Officer you will report in to the Asset Management Coordinator and you will provide specialised asset system services to the local government. The overall objective is to deliver strategic outcomes and organisational goals in the management and forward planning of built assets and related services. The duties will include:

- Analysis and advice on asset management activities
- Daily updates to the Assetic Asset Register.
- Daily updates to the QGIS system.
- In-Year Capitalisation of City Works
- A-Spec updates of new subdivisional asset

**What you'll need to succeed**

As an Asset Officer you will have previous asset management experience ideally within a local government team. You will hold the following knowledge and qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Asset Management, GIS, Civil Engineering or Financial Management

Asset management experience

Prior experience with Assetic Asset Register and QGIS system

Strong communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to work in a team environment
