Strategic Leadership Opportunity

PSP are exclusively recruiting a Manager Property Services opportunity on behalf of the City of Kingston. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, the role sits in the Property Services Department, within the Chief Finance Office Division. The positions key objectives include:

- Property Services
- Technical/Operational Matters
- Leadership and People Management
- Internal Organisational Engagement and Support
- General issues

The Manager Property Services is responsible for: Proactive and strategic leadership of Council’s property portfolio in a way that supports:

- Sustainable service delivery across the breadth of Council’s operations, and community access to quality facilities to current and future demand,
- Where appropriate, commercial rates of return on Council-owned assets through robust assessment of all aspects of the property lifecycle,
- Driving a team of customer centric professionals to ensure effective property processes are in place and that is highly responsive to Council directions,
- Policy development and advice to the CFO, CEO, Executive Leadership Team and Council - particularly in administering and updating critical frameworks such as Property Strategy and the Lease and Licence Policy,
- Supporting Council in driving continuous improvement, value for money, supporting environmental sustainability, social support and support for the local economy,
- Leadership for Council’s legacy landfill management responsibilities.

Essential Skills and Experience required:

- Tertiary qualifications in property, business, accounting, finance, or commercial disciplines, with extensive similar experience,
- Significant relevant property / asset management experience providing leadership and direction to a team of staff,
- Extensive experience in contract formation and management,
- Substantial leadership experience in a diverse and complex organisation.
