**Role description**:

Arcadis are looking for a highly skilled leader to join us on a permanent basis as Associate Director Transport Infrastructure to lead our Project Management Teams. This person can be based in our Sydney or Melbourne Office and will be an integral part of a high performing business unit.
**Role accountabilities**:
- Managing and directing the team, providing both leadership and technical guidance
- Oversee the delivery of projects on time, meeting both quality and budgetary targets, while striving to exceed client expectations
- Promote effective and efficient bid management in liaison with Commercial Manager and Client Relationship Director
- Provide input into, and engagement with, the development and implementation of the strategy and vision of the function
- Ensure rigorous implementation of review process to enable clear understanding of risk and opportunity positions, within projects and/or at a wider business level
- Develop and consolidate enduring relationships with major clients with the aim of becoming consultant of choice with these clients
- Be an advocate for Arcadis in the market and have in depth knowledge of commercial and project opportunities in alignment to our disciplines
- You will be a champion for the Arcadis culture through your leadership and commitment to achieve company and strategic goals
- Work closely with the Technical Consultants and Project Managers on the technical review of projects and any technical issues that arise
- Implement a high level of innovation in technical issues, problem solving and team culture, and leading by example
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Relevant degree with post graduate qualifications being advantageous
- Extensive years of relevant post-graduate experience, including supervision of all aspects of a project
- Recognised leader in specialist discipline with well-established industry networks
- Proven ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills
- Well-developed commercial skills, with a sound knowledge of the industry, a demonstrated ability in sales and business development and a proven record in entrepreneurial behavior
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally
- Proven ability to network and influence at peer levels
