RPI has a unique opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Sydney team and to meet the demands of our strong pipeline of work across Civic, Arts & Culture or Education projects.

As an Associate Director the purpose of your role will be to grow, manage and mentor a business unit, deliver profitable projects and highly satisfied clients and consistently achieve business development targets to contribute to the growth plan of the company.

**Key tasks**:

- Successfully manages complex client relationships and to contribute insight and added value to the client.
- Demonstrates the ability to identify potential project impacts and issues; manages clients and stakeholders expectations; initiates appropriate interventions to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensures preparation of detailed project budgets; monitors and tests project cost advice; reports on project cost and budget trends and issues; recommends initiatives to manage project cost outcomes successfully; identifies risk to the project or client and offer solutions.
- Proactively provide strategic advice guidance and mentoring to project directors, senior advisors, managers and project managers and other staffs as required.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully manage complex client relationships and to contribute added value to the client.
- Demonstrate leadership in the promotion of the company’s financial objectives.
- Utilises an established network of contacts to identify and follow-up leads, find prospects and introduce new business.
- Proactively bring and communicate innovations and new business ideas to the business and staff.

**Skills and Experience**
- Have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a related industry position.
- Tertiary qualifications in an industry-related discipline.
- A flexible approach to a range of work environments and being comfortable leading, or working as a part of a team, or independently.
- Ability to manage clients and conflicting objectives and demands on resources.
- A strategic and creative thinker who can translate ideas into value-added advice for clients.
- Possess an existing network in the market and business development capabilities.
