**About the role**

As part of the Melbourne Operations team, this role reports to the Sea Freight Supervisor, coordinating LCL and FCL shipments (imports and exports), negotiating FCL traffic enquiries, consulting on FAK consolidation & LCL routing, and managing set KPIs whilst ensuring customer satisfaction.

**What you will be doing**
- Data entry of jobs, shipping consignments and update
- Opening, managing, monitoring and closing a job file
- Ensure that jobs are within the invoiced specified timeframe and any monies requiring immediate collection are collected before delivery
- Ensure that job-related invoices are within the approved specified timeframe and any issues are escalated to the direct manager
- Endeavour to obtain co-load support by metering out our existing volumes
- Negotiate current LCL and FCL traffic inbound and outbound and constantly try to strengthen Bollore Logistics’ purchasing power
- Compile all LCL and FCL rate requests and advise sales on margin and routings for LCL and FCL business
- Ensure external salespeople are made aware of rates and areas of significant advantage over our competitors
- Assist with the advertising of our consolidation boxes through local offices
- Overseeing the job functions associated with these key accounts
- Conduct appropriate reporting functions as per client requirements
- Maintain an active communication channel with customers - reviews wherever necessary
- Communicate any issue and elevate (to Operations Supervisor) as required
- Prompt and efficient response to both existing and new client requests
- Reporting any complaints or problems raised by Customers, overseas offices & agents to the Branch Manager
- Assist with resolution of customer issues

Essential:

- Proficient knowledge of INCOTERMS, EDI and industry terminology
- Sea freight operation experience
- Excellent professional interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable:

- Good time management and organisational skills
- Strong negotiating skills
- Customer service, quality objectives and continuous improvement experience
