We are active in the provision of a comprehensive range of social welfare services, catering the needs from cradle to seniors, including residential aged care, home ageing, settlement and health, vocational and training, disability services, child care and many more community-based services.

Home Ageing Services provide help at home and other support services to elderly people from the East Asian communities as well as mainstream Australians. Due to the expansion of our services, we are currently recruiting Support Workers in all regions of Sydney, including North West region - Baulkham Hills, Castle Hill, Cherrybrook; Western Sydney region - Parramatta, Auburn, Granville; South West region - Cabramatta, Liverpool; City region - Glebe, Haymarket, Newtown, Surry Hills; Eastern Suburbs - Maroubra, Kingsford, Randwick, Botany, Kensington, Rosebery, etc.

**Position Summary**:
This position is responsible for providing personal care and support to elderly people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds living in their homes.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provision of direct care services to clients including personal care, meal preparation, medication, laundry, general housekeeping and cleaning, light gardening, transport.
- Provide timely reporting on service provided to clients using Mobile Home Care Manager and maintain close communication with Service Coordinators
- Maintain professional boundaries
- Maintain and respect client confidentiality
- Protect and respect the privacy, dignity and rights of client
- Uphold CASS vision, mission and values

**Selection Criteria**:
**Essential**
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent);
- Passion and knowledge about aged care services and elderly people;
- Understands and demonstrate person centred approach;
- Ability to communicate in basic English and in either Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Indonesian or Korean;
- Current First Aid Certificate;
- Current NSW driver licence and have own car with comprehensive car insurance
- Current National Police Check; and
- Having at least two doses of COVID-19 vaccination.

**Desirable**
- Previous experience in home care or aged care

Salary and employment conditions for the above position is as per Enterprise Agreement.
