**About the Role**
The Proposals and Tenders Manager plays a pivotal role within the Melbourne School of Professional and Continuing Education (MSPACE). This individual is responsible for managing all aspects of the proposal and tender process while ensuring effective leadership of the Proposals and Tenders Team.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the development of compelling, high-quality proposals and tenders, coordinating inputs from various stakeholders, ensuring effective proposal templates, and consistent implementation of proposal and tender development protocols.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leveraging strategic thinking in partnership with the Business Development team to evaluate and prioritise tender opportunities
- Leading and guiding a team of professionals, providing mentorship and coaching to foster their professional growth
- Ensuring efficient and consistent implementation of tendering and proposal processes across the team
**Who We Are Looking For**
You will have a proven ability to strategically assess tenders in collaboration with the Business Development team, considering market feasibility, profitability, growth potential, and strategic alignment. You will have a track record of managing the full life cycle of tendering and proposal development processes, including detailed costing and submission documentation, as well as follow-up activities. Additionally, you should possess project management skills, proficiency in Excel for financial calculations, strong writing and editing abilities for compelling proposals, and experience working with diverse stakeholders such as Business Development Managers and academics.
You will also have:
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of extensive relevant experience and/or education.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment.
- High-level organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise workloads with attention to detail, work well under pressure, and organise own work and others to meet deadlines.
