Technical Sales Specialist sought to win capital sales and service contracts for traceability systems solution sales to the Manufacturing, Transportation, Airports, Retail and Logistics industries. Extensive technical backup, robust systems, and ongoing professional development in Australia and Europe will catalyse your success.
The need to trace products and items has never been as acute as today. This European-based company is a leading global provider of Industrial Automation and Automatic Data Capture systems for the Manufacturing, Transportation, Airports, Retail and Logistics industries. They design and produce solutions built around barcode readers, mobile computers, RFID, sensors for detection, measurement and safety, and vision and laser marking systems.
You will report to the Country Manager based in the Sydney office (the head office is in NSW). You will grow key accounts and seek out and develop new accounts. In addition, you will receive extensive technical and commercial support from within Australia and the broader corporation.
The split between the office and being on-site will be ~ 70/30. You will visit customer sites and occasionally travel overseas to train and build relationships with peers in Europe and the USA.
You possess a technical or commercial degree and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales or account management in Industrial Automation, Scientific Instrumentation, Intelligent Traffic Systems, or Building Systems.
You can provide hard evidence (numbers) demonstrating your success in managing a sales territory, growing business, meeting and exceeding budgets and good career progression. In addition, you have a strong solutions focus, build lasting relationships with customers, and are adept at negotiating good commercial deals.
