**The Brand |** A leader in the Australian Designer space -this stunning brand designs across evening, bridal and RTW. With a focus on elegant and timeless pieces and signature style - they have thriving retail, wholesale and eCommerce channels, based out of their HQ in Alexandria.

We have an incredible opportunity in a newly created role due to growth for a Junior Designer to join their team and be mentored and developed by their inspirational Creative Director and Senior Designer.

**The Role |**
- Support the design team in developing and executing a strategic vision in alignment with the brand
- Contributing to the management of design direction from conception to final styling, including contribution to the selection of fabrics, trims, silhouettes, lab dip colours, print strike offs, and patterns
- Assisting with the whole range design, across all categories in line with the creative direction
- Helping with the linesheet development and presentation materials for strategy reviews including trend, colour and fabric boards
- Attend all fit sessions from first fit to production samples’ ensuring that product is technically executed to the highest standard and of commercial fit
- Creation of technical packs in support of technical team as required
- Strong communication skills with stakeholders in design, development and production to achieve positive results in the development phase

**The Skillset |**
- 3+ years minimum womenswear industry experience for a designer or luxury brand
- Knowledge on seasonal trends and market responses
- Strong technical knowledge of Woven and knitwear construction and materials with strong colour sense
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and confidence with design input
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload with multiple deadlines
