**About the Role**:
Our team is focused on fostering and maintaining positive relationships with our Higher Education partners, to ensure that people studying to be teachers, also known as preservice teachers are inspired by and well informed about the professional and personal opportunitiesavailable to beginning teachers in Queensland state schools and the supported pathways to become a teacher.
Our Project Officer (Engagement) is our key liaison between the Teach Queensland team and Higher Education Institutions (HEI), focused on coordinating our participation in on campus and virtual information sessions for people currently studying teaching and those starting the transition from preservice to beginning teacher.
This will include liaising with departmental and HEI representatives, collaborating with key business areas to ensure accuracy of key messages about employment opportunities, benefits and processes, and coordinating travel and resources to enable our participation in these engagement opportunities across Queenslandand interstate.
