**Position Information**:
Gosford High School is a selective school catering for high academic students. Current enrolment is 1074 students from Year 7- Year 12. The ethos of academic excellence and personal best are at the core of the school’s vision and purpose. The school community is diverse with approximately 40% of students from language backgrounds other than English. This provides the school with a rich cultural context that encourages and celebrates tolerance and difference. Diverse and experienced staff bring a range of expertise and passion to the school. Student wellbeing, strong learning connections and partnerships with parents are important dimensions which enrich school excellence.
**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach Society and Culture, Studies of Religion, History Extension, Ancient History, Modern History. With a willingness to teach 7-10 Geography and History.
Capacity to design and implement innovative and differentiated teaching and learning programs that cater for the diverse needs of high potential and gifted students. Demonstrated evidence based teaching and learning practices that cater for 21st Century learners. Proven interpersonal skills to work as an effective team member and contribute to faculty and whole school programs and initiatives that support relationships and links with students, staff, and parents.
