**Customer Service**
- Helping the customer by fulfilling their needs in a friendly, efficient, professional manner
- Ensure the customers’ expectations are met
- Acknowledging customers waiting even if you are serving someone else
- Must be able to multitask
**Selling**
- Upsell where possible - e.g. offer a vase when a customer wants to buy a bouquet
- Inform customers about the services we offer - e.g. do they know we deliver/have an online store
- Offer chocolates with the flowers in addition to delivery
**Floristry**
- Follow recipes where provided to the required specification
- Ensuring older stock is used first
- Taking responsibility for any stock damaged or broken
- Follow wrapping procedures
- Follow pricelist guide for stem numbers when preparing market stock
- Work in mind with the pre made stock position list, ensuring you always have the correct number of arrangements as listed
- Stock counts to be done as directed by Team Leader/ Head Florist
**Cleaning**
- Must be familiar and undertake basic hygiene for flower care
- Work space must be clean and safe
- Floor must be clean, swept regularly in work space and shop floor
**Procedures**
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Follow operating procedure for orders and booking in deliveries
- Report all wastage
**Communication**
- Communicate with colleagues at shift change over
- Communicate with team leader for any special order requirements
- Communicating to team leader on any inadequate stock that’s been received
- Provide feedback on customer requests
**Flower Care**
- Responsibility of the team members to make sure the stock is looked after
- Treat all flower and plant stock with care
- Ensuring everything is watered
**Stock Control**
- Responsibility that older stock is used first
- Ownership for your stock order - e.g. must ensure what you order is turned over
- Order stock in a productive and efficient way in line with the required stock position
- Stock orders need to be sent to the head florist by 4pm Sunday, Tuesday and Friday
- Developing waste management report and setting goals to reduce any waste issues. Communicating this information to the relevant managers / directors
**Managing your Team**
- Ensure your team are working in line with all procedures, including opening procedure, closing procedure, and pre made stock position list
- Ensure team is providing excellent customer service
- Ensuring the team is wrapping correctly and following the procedure
- Lead by example, in particular with customer service
- Supporting new team members and assisting head florist with training
- Flexibility with your own roster if required to help cover team’s absence
- Double checking the team members have followed the delivery booking procedure and checking all orders have been made up correctly - e.g. cards written and spelt correctly, checking the address, and the order is made up in accordance to customer requirements
