**About our client**

Youth Insearch is young people helping young people, empowering young people aged 14 to 20 to turn their disadvantages into their advantages, enabling them to reach their full potential. Since 1985 Youth Insearch has helped over 30,000 young people to rebuild their lives, and currently assists around 1,000 young people per year across NSW, VIC & QLD.

**Role responsibilities**

The Finance Officer will report into the Finance Manager in this exciting, newly created role - a great opportunity for someone looking to use their finance experience for good and kickstart their career in the for-purpose space, learning hands-on from an experienced Finance Manager in the charity sector.
- Support the Finance Manager across: Accounts Payable/Receivables, payroll processing and reporting and reconciliations
- Support the processing and invoicing of donations as well as reconciliations and reporting
- Providing administrative and office support as needed, such as liaising with suppliers and taking general inquiries over the phone

**Essential Requirements**
- Bookkeeping qualifications or qualifications by experience, such as accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations and cash handling procedures
- Previous experience working with Xero (or similar accounting package) and an understanding of the NFP sector (and fringe benefit tax) will be highly regarded as well
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong time management, the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines, and the ability to work through problems or challenges logically
- Tech savviness, experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as intermediate to advanced Excel skills
