Seeking a part time Accounts Officer on a temporary basis for our client based in Sydney CBD. This is a hands-on position where you will be integral to the smooth running of our finance department. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Management: Handle end-to-end processing for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, manage electronic filing, and maintain supplier portals.
  • Reconciliation & Reporting: Process weekly accounts receivable, assist with the fortnightly payment run, and support month-end close procedures and reporting.
  • System & Process Improvement: Maintain the general ledger, recommend improvements to accounting systems, and document business processes to strengthen internal controls.
  • Advisory: Provide technical support and financial advice to the wider Supply Nation team.
  • Cultural Leadership: Champion cultural values and integrity, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.
What You'll Bring
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and general ledger functions.
  • Proficiency in Xero or MYOB (or similar) and strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • A high degree of accuracy and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent professionalism, discretion, and a collaborative, 'can-do' attitude.
  • A strong passion for and commitment to supporting the development of the Indigenous business sector.
Additional Requirements
  • A satisfactory National Police Check is required.
