**Let’s talk about the opportunity**
The purpose of this role is to work within a multi-disciplinary team to conduct investigations into allegations of corrupt conduct. The position works closely with the Senior Investigator to conduct investigative tasks in support of investigations into allegations of serious and systemic corrupt conduct within the NSW Public Sector, and matters referred to the Commission by the NSW Electoral Commission, using conventional, covert, and coercive investigation powers available to the Commission.
This is a permanent, full-time position.

**Selection criteria**
- Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge, the criminal law, the rules of evidence and criminal procedures and an understanding of the _Independent Commission Against Corruption Act 1988 _is desirable.
- The position holder must have well developed planning and organisational abilities, problem solving and analytical skills, to discern relevant information from large quantities of material and data, as well as to assist in the preparation and writing of reports for consideration.
- The position holder must have well-developed oral and written communication skills to enable them to effectively interact with people of diverse background, occupation, and seniority, both internal and external to the Commission.
- Experience in investigating allegations of corrupt or criminal conduct or public sector misconduct is highly desirable.

The NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (“the ICAC”) was established in 1988 as an independent organisation to protect the public interest, prevent breaches of public trust and guide the conduct of public officials in the NSW public sector. We are committed to:
