**Advisor Investigations, Ongoing, Sydney**

An opportunity for a high performing Advisor, Investigations (fraud and corruption) to join the DCS Internal Audit function which is part of the Governance, Risk and Performance (GRP) branch. GRP sits within our Corporate Services division and is responsible for delivering strong governance and risk management advisory and support services to the cluster.

Reporting to the Manager, Investigations, you will co-ordinate the delivery of high quality administrative and support services through the use of investigation service providers, and in-house resources to ensure the investigation and corruption prevention function achieve its legislative and compliance objectives.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Track workflows and timelines and manage the maintenance of records and the provision of quality reports and assurance in the contract management of external investigation and Integrity Hotline service providers.
- Support the initial triage and preliminary assessments of reported matters and coordination information requests for preliminary assessments, investigations and corruption prevention advice.
- Provide confidential and specialised high level support and case management services (including registering and acknowledgement of reports of) to the investigation and corruption prevention function and contribute to the achievement of operational and strategic objectives.
- Utilise and reconcile the Case Management system to ensure all information and documentation associated with Fraud & Corruption investigations and corruption prevention advice is effectively and accurately recorded.
- Monitor the Integrity Hotline and other reporting channels (eg CAE mailbox) for new matters, and regularly engaging with the Integrity Hotline provider regarding reporting and management of reported matters and performance of the provider. Coordinate timely responses to or follow up on any reports of fraud or corrupt conduct.
- Coordinate and support the Manager, Investigations in the preparation and delivery of correspondence and other administrative requirements including statutory reporting obligations to the ICAC and NSW Ombudsman, including updates to regulators as required and internal reporting.
- Monitor timeframes on investigations and corruption prevention advice, and take appropriate action as required.
- Assist in the preparation of governance reports for Executive Management, the Management Assurance Committee and the various Audit & Risk Committees.
- Maintenance and reporting of the Conflict of Interest and Gifts, Benefits & Bribes registers
- Participate in any continuous process improvement of the fraud prevention framework and investigation function, including any uplift initiatives.

**About You**

Building and maintaining strong working relationships is a key for this role, therefore, you will bring forward your strong stakeholder management and problem solving skills. You will have a key role in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and assisting in the periodic reporting to the Audit and Risk Committees and the Management Assurance Committee.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience in operating in a highly sensitive and confidential work environment within a legal, regulatory and/or investigations position.
- High level interpersonal skills.
- Extensive experience in maintaining and utilising an investigations Case Management System containing highly confidential data.
- Ability to extract data from a Case Management System and other systems for the purpose of reporting and possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Sound knowledge of employment related legislation, policies and procedures in relation to discipline and applicable Codes of Conduct;
- Sound knowledge of the operations of external bodies such as the ICAC and the NSW Ombudsman and their associated legislation.

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $99,431 base plus superannuation
