**About us**
Established in 1871, the Art Gallery of New South Wales is located in Sydney’s The Domain adjacent to the Royal Botanic Garden and near the Central Business District, the Gallery acknowledges the original custodians of this land - the Gadigal people of the Eora nation.
The Gallery attracts around 1 million visitors annually and runs Australia’s largest education program with over 90,000 student and teacher visits per year.
With our expanded campus recent opening the Gallery has a new state-of-the-art building located next to our existing and much-loved building. Providing us with close to double the exhibition space, the expanded Gallery enables us to share more art with more people and provide more family, learning and educational programming for all our audiences.

**About the role**
Facilitate exhibition teams to realise the concept and presentation of allocated and agreed exhibitions and ensure that human and financial resources are responsibly managed. Negotiate, manage and monitor the contractual obligations for allocated incoming package and in-house exhibitions.
**What technical/soft skills you require**
1. Appropriate tertiary qualification or relevant, equivalent professional experience.
2. Proven exhibition project management experience including contract negotiation and management, budgeting, resourcing and logístical planning.
3. Working knowledge of exhibition design, construction and installation.
4. Experience using project management software and museum specific relational databases
5. High level communication with strong facilitation, negotiation and interpersonal skills
**Targeted questions**
1. Provide an example of a successful exhibition which you coordinated from initial concept through to delivery, ideally within a gallery or museum setting or similar. Describe how you worked collaboratively with other team members and external stakeholders to optimise deliverables for all parties. (300 words)
2. Provide an example of how you used your organisational and negotiation skills to manage multiple projects with conflicting priorities and deadlines, successfully meeting the expectations of all stakeholders. (300 words)
