Assistant Exhibition Producer

About the Role

This role is being offered as a fixed term, part-time (4 days per week) opportunity from December 2025 until April 2026 as project support to the exhibitions team.

You will be required to use your prior experience to provide project support services for the effective coordination, development and timely delivery of exhibitions per the schedule and allocated budgets and to stakeholder expectations at the Australian Museum (AM).

You will be paid a competitive annual salary $99,938 - $110,271 pro-rated, plus employer's contribution to superannuation (currently 12%) and annual leave loading.

About You

We are seeking an individual with well-rounded administrative skills. You will:

  • be assisting with budget monitoring, reporting and maintaining databases.
  • have knowledge of and experience with records management.
  • be willing and able to assist the Head of Exhibitions and Exhibition Team with coordinating small-scale displays and research relevant to proposed exhibitions.
Your Knowledge & Experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management for exhibitions, installments or productions for public spaces.
  • Sound understanding or awareness regarding process and procedures associated with installing and working with heritage listed buildings and high-value cultural and natural science collections, desirable.
  • Experience in using myworkZone, ExpenseMe Pro, Microsoft Office applications and Content Manager (Trim), desirable.
Essential Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or experience deemed equivalent.
  • White card or ability to obtain white card.
