**Your new company**
This high profile Federal Government Department is seeking an APS6 Implementation Policy Officer and EL1 Policy Lead to join their newly establish taskforce driving a policy and regulatory reform to develop a sustainability plan underpinning an implementation framework to streamline development approvals over the next 30 years.

**Your new role**
Your new role APS6 Policy Implementation Officer:
You will be responsible for working collaboratively to solve practical problems to deliver commitments within the approved plan. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Working on a range of complex and interesting policy issues.
- Collaborating with other Australian Government agencies on cross-cutting regulatory matters.
- Supported by the implementation lead, develop systems and standard operating processes to effectively and efficiently administer the plan.
- Supported by the implementation lead, engage with key stakeholders including industry representatives and groups as well as government officials at the Commonwealth, state and local level to achieve policy outcomes.
- Supported by the implementation lead, draft and deliver high level briefings and recommendations to the Assistant Secretary and Minister.

EL1 Policy Lead:
You will be responsible for managing a small sub-team of staff to develop clear policy positions to support the development and delivery of the program. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Work on a range of complex policy issues.
- Collaborating with other Australian Government agencies on cross-cutting regulatory matters.
- Engaging with key stakeholders including representatives and groups to achieve policy outcomes.
- Prepare high level briefs and recommendations to the Assistant Secretary and Minister.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for the positions you will have environmental regulatory experience and the ability to engage the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act and/or other state based environmental legislation regulatory frameworks. You will also have the ability to develop robust policy positions on complex problems through leadership, collaboration and testing ideas, the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve outcomes, the ability to prepare advice based on sound judgement, the ability to build and manage productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, the ability to represent the Department confidently, have strong focus and the ability to shape strategic and innovative thinking across multiple program streams.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
