**Eligibility**
- To be eligible for employment with the Department of Health and Aged Care

**Division Responsibilities**
The Reform Implementation Division supports the Department and Government to lead and
shape reform of Australia’s aged care system through oversight of the implementation of
the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety final
report, the development of evidence-based policy to build more sustainable ageing policy
and an aged care system better tailored to the needs and expectation of older Australians,
and provision of aged care portfolio oversight and stakeholder engagement activities.
**Branch Responsibilities**
The Reform Management Branch provides implementation monitoring and oversight of the
aged care reforms, and the response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and
Safety, by providing leadership and guidance across key transformation program functions.
**Section Responsibilities**
The Reform Implementation Services section is responsible for: - Implementation and
oversight of the ACTP Assurance Program, including capability uplift initiatives across the
ACTP - Reporting on progress of the reforms in the context of the Royal Commission
recommendations - Assisting with the development of, or input to, a range of products to
support the Senior Executive in making decisions on the aged care reforms - Overseeing
implementation activity across the portfolio including reporting to senior governance
forums on the status of reforms, including the Reform Implementation Program Board and
the ACTP Steering Committee - Risk Management approach for the ACTP.***
**Key Responsibilities**
With the Assistant Director, the APS 6 officer will:
- Provide support to help implement the ACTP Assurance Program, including working
closely with an Independent Assurance Provider.
- Provide support to help drive a capability uplift agenda to enhance maturity and
capability across the ACTP.
- Foster collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to
support the section in delivering against priorities.
- Provide support in reviewing assurance reports, including synthesising and
identifying key areas for ongoing improvement across the ACTP.
- Support other team priorities, as required.***
As per below, assurance experience, while desirable, is not essential for this role.
