Newly created permanent opportunity
- Brand new offices with sunset Roof Bar and 360 degree views of Melbourne
- Exciting industry sector
**THE COMPANY**
Privately owned and hugely successful New Zealand business establishing a footprint in the Australian market.
**THE OPPORTUNITY**
Reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, the Payroll Partner will assist with processing weekly payroll for circa 800 Australian and New Zeland based employees.
Key duties include:
- Onboarding, maintaining and offboarding all employee data from all systems
- Weekly payroll processing for Australia and New Zealand (as allocated)
- Review and validate any updates completed within the payroll system
- Liaison with government agencies as required
- Continuous improvement of all processes and procedures within the payroll scope
- Weekly outer limit review for Award breaches, annualised salary comparisons and corresponding payments and communication

**THE POSITIVES**
The Group Payroll Manager would have to be one of the best in the business in Melbourne. They are someone who any Payroll Professional could learn a lot from and not just payroll - HR and soft skills too. By the impending implementation, there will be opportunities to get fully involved in testing before go-live which means project work, as well as BAU, is guaranteed.
**THE CHALLENGES**
The employee base could be described as "high-energy" and they can be quite demanding of your time, at times. An element of patience will see you navigate this, however.
**IDEAL APPLICANTS**
You consider yourself someone who thrives in a changing environment and has the relevant "depth" of payroll experience to add value through meaningful suggestions around improvement/efficiency etc. You have the requisite resilience to be able to manage volume queries and still provide a consistently high level of customer service to your stakeholders. "Foodies" are especially encouraged to apply.
**WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY?**
The business is undergoing an immense period of change (with the relocation of all back office functions from NZ to Australia). Hence, if you relish the idea of getting on board the journey early as the business implements new systems and procedures then this highly unique opportunity is the one for you.
